My name is Haroon Iqbal, and I love tackling new and interesting challenges, especially when building new products. I believe when done well design moves technology to more than a sum of it's parts.

I grew up in southern India in a little state called Kerala. I spent my childhood here before moving to Bombay to pursue my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. During these 4 years I started getting exposed to design, as I spend a ton of my time interacting with people from IDC. I knew by my third year, I wanted to pursue a job in design. I had already started building things like RC cars and small applications during my engineering days, but it was something that never brought joy to me. Design let me told stories with my products. So after a year as a developer at Cambium Networks, I joined IISc to pursue a design degree. I enjoyed my time at IISc, building various projects like a mobile home, haptic clocks, and various other smaller projects. I spend a few months working as a product manager after my IISc life defining product vision at a small company called Pearlsoft in Kochi. After which I was lucky to join the security group at Cisco to build a secure internet for everyone.

I'm an avid movie buff, chess player, and most importantly, I love to learn new things, especially languages. Currently I'm trying to be more fluent in Hindi. I also love to build things so that I never lose touch with my engineering side.
